yoga-ing
Out of curiosity of what yoga actually is about, my sister and I decided to go for the free trial lesson. this happens when I'm passing by and happened to came across this flyer. And just when I was about to throw it away like those usual flyers, ting!
"1 FREE YOGA LESSON"
I decided to try my luck. And the day's come.....
People normally relate yoga to merely stretching exercises. But in actual fact, yoga is much more than that. I realised yoga consists of your breathing. on how u control your breathing.... when u get to use your stomach muscles(u shld noe what I mean if u;ve been in choir b4, sort of that)
And my back actually sweat in the midst of doing the stretching lessons. And when those "aunties" or okay la, maybe the women there who are older than us(mi and my sis) can stretch their legs and yet we, being younger, can't do that ;P
wells, its kinda embarassing. but at least I get a feel of what yoga's about!!
The yoga teacher is very kind I can see. She's very patient when it comes to coaching the students, correcting our mistakes. And seeing both of us as very young, she actually asked us our age. And here comes a part when we are all supposed to bend our knees backward(p.s. when we're lying down) she joked to both of us, while trying to push our knees to the ground that "Yes, you all are very young. This one I'm sure u can do it one." And in the end our knees still barely touched the ground ;P
though she's about hmm... I think maybe in her late 30s, I can only marvel at her bones and body's flexiblilty.
yoga's just like maths, thats what I conclude. to ppl whose body are not as flexible, I'm sure after much practice, even when your age is a little too late to learn. as long as u have the perseverence, nothing can stop u from doing that thing. Am I right? :)
